I have manual seats and my left mirror dips when I select reverse, but only if the mirror selector switch is set to the drivers side. Very handy when trying to avoid kerbs.

Have you found that if you import MP3/Itunes files into your harddrive it orders them alphabetically? This was a pain in the ass for me as lots of my albums are 'gapless' and so it really mucked up the whole album. One 32gb USB stick later and the whole music library is available through the armrest in the track order it was intended to have. There is also a playlist option, but I can't work out how to put playlists on file so they are accessible in iDrive.

All in all, I am fully delighted with my LCI 330d and the new iDrive was worth the choice over a pre facelift 335, esp as the new engine is improved.

Any other things you have noticed in your first few months of ownership??

Cheers,

JZ

The sat nav is loaded up onto the hard drive using a dvd in the dvd drive, then you take the dvd out freeing up the drive slot.

Dealer should give you the DVD IMO for backup.

What happens each year when you buy the update? Do you do it yourself?

No news on SatNav updates. DVD is definitely not supplied.

Two photos at the request of Exotica.

Get some tweeters in the door corners!!

Mine will not fold the mirrors by holding the lock button down but it will close the windows if they are left open.

The mirror button on mine has to be to the right to tilt the nearside mirror in reverse.

Are you sure it has a cd for the satnav as I was told the new ones had an upgradable built in one
Not tried the AG stuff but this is excellent, you can also buy the conditioner too.

lovely mate, although I personally dont think the wood looks right.

New Media system is awesome, and I'm really glad I went for it. Logic7 is great, so the individual system must be awesome.

I have loaded up music on to a 16gb stick, put it in the slot in the armrest but I cannot get it to play or download?

OK a few comments. 57.6mpg is not real, it is 52mpg. The display overreads by 10%; I have checked this over the 5000 miles I have had the car for. Now 52mpg was exceptional BUT I drove up north on a Friday and the roads were busy meaning speeds were between 50mph and 70mph and not a lot more. Also, there were extended periods on A and B roads and M1 roadworks where 50mph was it, no more and not much less and that is 1200rpm in 6th.

Steve748, rather than select music collection, I select external when I play off my 16GB memory stick in the centre console. When I decide I like the songs, I use the front glovebox socket to transfer then to the hard drive.

I agree abut the wood, I should have gone for the black/grey poplar (that is my only regret, other than ordering the 6CD changer, which was a waste).

I really like the individual sound, so crisp and real quality when loud. I have not heard Logic 7.

JZ69 - yes, all ordered alphanumerically. I guess you could change the ID3 tags before loading?

Real mpg over 5000+ miles is 46 (OBC shows 51.3)

Does anyone else notice that their OBC mpg jumps in 1.0 approx and not 0.1 mpg increments?

Thanks guys.

Thanks guys.
My pre-lci jumps in 0.3-0.5, and slighly under reads, i.e. 41 mpg brim to brim, reads 40mpg on the computer.

still pretty impressive. My computer says 52.3mpg after 1800 miles on a 320d.

Unhappy grey leather ...

makes the car look as if the owner had retired 15 years ago. A BMW is supposed to be dynamic car but this colour combo ruined it

Well, apparently in order to do my duty on here I do have to be diplomatic occasionally
I can't very well give him a London East End welcome, can I?
