With the help of a buddy (local BMW tech) we installed my ER charge pipe. The connection to the throttle body seems much more loose than the factory charge pipe? The ER one did not come with a rubber ring to sit inside the lip, so we reused the factory one, but there is still a little more wiggle than I would like to see. Also the rubber grommet didn't seem to be wide enough (there is a little metal on metal).

Any of you guys experience this?

*other than that, the install was pretty easy (I literally just held the flashlight lol). The ER/Tial BOV fit perfect with the Dinan CAI.

I kinda felt the same way when installing mine but the factory charge pipe clip and factory gasket made a seal in the end plus I think the T40 bolt and mount takes care of any stresses on the connection.

The o-ring is what makes the seal, not metal on metal

That's what I figured Tiago, i fiddled around with it a bit, I don't think it's going anywhere.

Do you know the size rubber o-ring used? I may go back in and replace it.

You know, I think I remember it being the same as the o-ring you get with an oil filter.

You're just supposed to reuse the stock rubber O-ring... Unless you tear it trying to remove or install it. In that case, I'm sure you could get one at the dealer. I did also notice it not fitting quite like the OEM, but as long as the metal clip is on, and it's attached, it works great. The rubber o-ring seals it anyways.

Re-use the OEM o-ring or purchase the OEM o-ring. It's not worth the boost leak
