Yeah I think I may be the youngest person on this forum, hence my pack of posting! I guess this forum is the 'place to be seen' right now Royal holloway is apart of the University of London group but the campus is based in egham, surrey.

No I imagine I still win you on youngest as you have graduated you must be at least 21??? I'll be 21 when I enter "proper" uni, "mature student", that really makes me feel old I thought I've done rather well to have owned a couple of Porsches, your grad job must pay well Going to go and have a look at RH now, I imagine their Maths dept isn't great but I would have loved to have done music there mind you if I was going to do that I would have auditioned for conservatoire study instead!

Thanks, yep Leicester is top on my list as they are 5th in the country from maths, ox and cambs top (as always!!), st. andrews 3rd, imperial 4th and leicester 5th. My foundation year is for people who haven't done A Levels (I left school at 16), so I do a foundation in double Maths and Physics which is equiv. to A Levels.

I'm going to do Financial Maths and I would like to become an Actuary - something I've actually had in my mind for ages, ever since work ex. as school lol but thought for ages that I couldn't do it though if someone else can why can't I? Leicester gives exemptions to some of the exams too, anoter reason to be my first choice. Haven't gone down the Actuarial Science route as I have heard you are less likely to get a job at the end, anyone know if this is true?

I would of though Governing Body, Large companies who specialise in this industry or the University Lecturers/head of department would be best placed on advise. I think a lot of doing what you want is down to self belief, determination and unfortunately hard work. I have personally studied to a high level including qualifications whilst working full time. My route was definetly the hard work and determination route. You will be amazed what you can achieve but it is far easier if you have a genuine interest in the subject you are studying.

Thankyou. I will have to look into it. Must say I do have a genuine interest in this it really does fascinate me, currently looking for work experience in the field and will be writing a letter to all companies that offer it, most is in London, hope I could survive there for a week or two

Why do you wish you were still 21? I could understand if you were 40 and saying that comment but at your age I really don't think it makes any difference.

I got asked for ID in Morrisons buying some beer the other week, I asked her if my balding head would suffice as proof, but it didn't so I had to go elsewhere.
