Please Read someone stole my Tires
Just wondering if anyone bought a set of used OE 16" Bridgestone RFT's 205/55 16 Recently from some one in the North Jersey area, either from someone on this forum (doubtful) or most likely some scumbag on E-Bay.
I just went into the basement storage unit of my condo to find my stock tires are missing! Only me and my next door neighbor have the key, and I’m sure she doesn't need them. The last time I saw them was in late Jan or early Feb. Any help would be really appreciated! |

yes he has a key but I doubt it's him. I think it might be someone who used to own the neighbor's place, or her scumbag boyfriend. The cops said I could file a report but they won't investigate.

I had the same thing happen when all my audio equipment got stolen out of my last vehicle. Happened in broad daylight about 50 ft from an on duty police officer who was probably too busy waiting for fresh donuts from Krispy Kreme. He told me I could file a report, but he wouldn't follow it up at all. That's the point when I realized that cops, for the most part, are utterly useless.

That is unless you're going more than3 mph over the posted speed limit then they're earning their pay for sure. Their are about 4 people that could be questioned. but why would they bother. "I'll file a report so you can file an insurance claim" |

the cops do what they can. But the thiefs are talented too.
Here in charlotte near the university gun point robberies are popular. the cops are patrolling most of the times but these guys find gaps and rob people |

Well compare your deductible to the cost of new tires and make your decision. As far as them being in storage they were in the condo itself; wink, wink, nudge, nudge.

...didn't you mention a big flat screen TV was also taken... wink, wink, nudge, nudge. In all seriousness, I agree the police can be worthless for a lot of things, but look at it from their point of view, they have very little leads, and the end result of their time and effort at best will be the recovery of a used set of 16" tires. Would not be high on the priority list. OP good luck, try asking the super and your neighbor, but other than that I would go through insurance and see what they can do, unless the cost of the tires is less than your deductible. |

Get a coded alarm for the storage area; whoever it was, will return.
Split the cost with the other person, and maybe the owner/manager/superintendent. Add a camera to the alarm, to find out who it was. |
