Tire loosing pressure only while moving. Brand new tire.
Hey guys I'm kinda having a weird problem. I have 19" avant garde m6 reps and had a flat on the front left. Took the wheels off and ordered a new tire though no big deal. Today I put these wheels back on with the new front left tire mounted and balanced at a good local shop. Same thing is happening as when I had the other tire. Holds pressure while sitting (maybe slow leak) but looses it fast while driving. Going to take it to the shop tomorrow and see what they can do. Anyone been in this situation.
Btw sorry for the bad typing. Not use to typing threads on my iphone

The top causes for mysterious leaks would be....
1. Nail/Puncture due to road hazard - straightforward to find/repair. 2. Valve stem defective or going bad- spray some soapy water at the valve stem and see if you notice any air bubbles. 3. Tire damage (during mounting)- spray soapy water at the part where the wheel meets the tire, and see if air leaks out from there. 4. Pinhole leak in wheel- Spray all over and see if you notice any air bubbles. You can probably do some testing at home to minimize your time at the tire shop. |
