Pricew is great considering that a down pipe for a 3351 runs anywhere from $599 to
$1k http://www.google.com/#safe=active&o...w=1120&bih=637

Hey guys I just joined the forum because I picked up an '11 335d.
I would love to get a tune on it and limited slip, already talked to tuning company. On my way to work yesterday I got a SES light. Car's driving fine, so I'm guessing its some sort of emissions balogney. My question is what will happen if I have such problems in the future after the tune? Will BMW still warranty my car? |

@ ecotuneuk
I understand the max torque for the 335d tranny is around 700Nm/516 Lbft Would there be any problem with your tune since it puts out more torque than the tranny is capable of handling? |

in about 6000 mi I will be out of warranty, so that will be the time when I will probably get a reflash.
I'm trying to get an idea on which one to get (renntech or ecotune). Being on this side of the Atlantic I haven't heard anything about ecotune till now on this forum. To me strictly, they are new. |

I looked at ecotune's wesite and I couldn't find anything about US 335d tuning.
However, there is some info on the EU version for the 286 and 306 hp. 286hp....580Nm/427LbFt 306hp....600Nm/442Lbft In each case we can see a constant number obtained by the tune: 54hp and 100Nm/74LbFt Extrapolating from those figures I would assume the US version would be good for 319hp and 676Nm/499LbFt (in case they can tune the US version). Not bad. Torque figures look good. Probably with a larger i/c one can still have a little more power within the max specs for the tranny. |

Well you can get renntech and pay 1200 bucks, or get ecotune and pay 800. In the end it will be very similar that you probably won't be able to tell the difference. Save that 400 for the inter cooler or a night on the town lol.
Btw this is where you can get the info on the ecotune http://www.redlinespeedworx.com/ http://www.redlinespeedworx.com/specials/ecotune/ The ecotune is 360 hp 700 nm torque or 516 lb ft Last edited by joe_planet; 06-07-2013 at 10:58 PM.. |

New to forum
This is my 1st post so I can unlock the other features. Just bought a 2011 335d, Deep Sea Blue Metallic, sport package, and pretty much every other option. Have a wagner IC, tried to install today but could not for the life of me get it that last 1/4". It just felt like something was in the way that I could not find. Hopefully someone else who has installed this can give me some tips.
Planning (and already spoken to Lenny) a Renntech flash and looking into downpipes, etc.
