Buying a 2008 335i MTech 6spdMT good deal?

It's fully loaded except for I drive and active cruise control. Black on black w aluminum trim. 27k miles with Cpo warranty till 12/14 100k

MTech kit, M steering wheel, M shifter. Cobb tuned and chipped with Remus exhaust with around 350hp

Is this a good deal for $28,000?

Sounds to me like I would pull the trigger... With the limited information I have on service history and repair/accident report...

Idk 28k for a 2008 is pricey... Even if it only has 27k miles.

Yeah that's what I was thinking. I was thinking 25k for one w the miles and then add another 2k for the warranty then add another 2k for the M Sport package. Sound right?

Not really. It will be only worth 17 / 17.5k next year. I know because I just sold a 2007 with slightly more miles and more options for that much.

I truly believe a tune decreases value - it certainly never increases value. That makes no sense.

And, technically, the tune invalidates the warranty, right?

I thought that the m-sport package was only offered in 2009 & 2010.

sounds like your gonna be the third owner? anything goes wrong with the system warranty prob wont cover right? i mean if they can relate it in anyway to the modded parts? i though 28k is a little high but it is low miles as well, did not notice sedan or coupe?

Having owned several BMWs, I have to say that pricing on these vary widely, and often low mileage cars are priced significanlty over retail. For example, My 330i with 132k in excellent condition (road rash in the front was only blemmish), maintenance records, never in accident, sold for 11k. I have seen many priced between 13k to 21k, most expensive had 30k miles on the odometer.

Cars/boats are worth want someone is willing to pay for it, so if 27k is acceptable and options/color what you want, then go for it.. I am suprised that it is CPO'ed with aftermarket parts, sounds like you may be third owner.

This may be an overkill, but have your friend at BMW do compression/leakdown test just to be sure. It may cost you $500 but will give some insight if tuning has had any impact on engine longevity.. Just an idea..

More than likely it was tuned after it was cpo-ed.

Sedan or Coupe? AFAIK, M Sport Pkg. became available on LCI Sedans in 2009 and LCI coupes in 2011.
