Suspension noob question

Just put on some 19's on my e90 on stock suspension and it looks high as a kite. Need a drop and so far the most popular springs on stock shocks I've determined are Eibach and H&R. I'll probably pick one of the two springs and slap them on the stock shocks (Low budget right now).

My questions: Low setup or comfort if roads are nice in my area? How much for installation usually? Will I need to do any fender work for Eibach or H&R w/19"s? And how long to install approximately?

thanks!

I'm too new to e90's to recomend springs but I can tell you that it should cost about $200 to $400 depending on where you go.

How wide are your 19's and what is the offset are the two things that will be asked to know if you'll have any issues.

Good luck!

Eibach is more of a conservative drop than H&R. If you drive on good roads and want to be lower, I would suggest H&R. It's really hard to tell if you would rub without knowing the width and offset of your wheels.

As far as installation, expect to pay around $400 (4-5 hours of labor) + $100 for alignment (which is required after install). I would suggest going back for the alignment 2-3 weeks after install to allow the suspension to settle. I got my alignment done immediately and had to go in a month later to adjust it.

I have the same exact inquiry. Here is my wheel set-up. Will any rubbing occur or any other problems if I ran the eibach or H&R?

You'll be fine with a 265 rear tire

You should be ok...might be close because you have an LCI, you might need a slight roll...I believe the recommended rear fitment is 9.5 ET45 in the rear

Yeah I run the same setup as snOpea. Sorry I forgot to add that in the original post. 235/35/19-265/30/19. I assume no rubbing if I go either Eibach or H&R sports right?

You should have sufficient fender clearance with that tire and wheel combo.

I ran H&R Sport with stock ZSP shocks, and the ride was comfortable but a little too low. All tires were slightly tucked under fenders (can't even fit one finger in the gap)
