Bms intake n55 - strange noise at 1500-2000 rpm
I installed my bms intake
I am pretty sure I have it on securely, but was not 100% sure as the intake was difficult to squeeze into elbow piece but I got it in enough to secure the metal fastener over , but I thought it should have went in more I love it especially the blow off noise when I let off the gas after stepping on it But at 1500-2000 rpm, especially around 1500 rpm, it makes this noise Sounds like a urgggggg but low vacuum like noise Is this just the intake ? Or is there a leak |

i was getting a rattle noise when i installed mine before i removed the cowl. i found the small clip that connects to the lower half of the stock air box was rubbing on cowl causing the noise.

I have this exact same sound. I also have an "Eeeeeee" when I hit boost hard. I have no leaks as I'm hitting boost in the logs but it's definitely there.

Did you guys get the little metal anchor piece that anchors it to the airbox to keep it from moving around?
It should've come with every BMS intake shipped within the last year or so. If you didn't get it, be sure to ask Jason or someone at Burger Tuning for it. |

i think the most logical answer was from Andrew that it is releasing BOV... it sounds like a little bit of air is getting sucked in our blown out... because like others say, when i stomp it i can hear the spooling i think it is pretty secure but i cant get it up to the ridge i got it enough for the clamp to go over the elbow enough to secure it im pretty sure it is air tight it looks and feels it im guna try one more time to get it in one more time any recommendation other than try n stick it in there real hard I personally think the BMS intake was a solid mod, huge bang for buck, even moreso than the JB4 i got NOTHINGGGG beats the blow off noise when u step on it a little, then let go of the gas. that sound is worth a huge amount to me, being a ricerider but the JB4 does have cool options which i still dont fully get |

The only problem I see in your post is the difficulty of the install. My BMS intake pretty much slides right into the coupler, make sure it is right up against the ridge on the intake, and all around the intake as well.
Other then that I heae all sorts of sounds at different loads, sounds normal to me. |
