E92 power folding mirrors

Hi guys,

I have a 2010 E92 LCI. When I press the button to fold in/out the mirrors, they move at different speeds - One is slower than the other. They both start at the same time but drivers side takes longer time to fold in.

Is this normal?

Mine are slightly out of sync but not hugely.

I'm sure there is a re-calibration process you can follow to reset them which might be worth a quick search for?

Both the mirrors on my E91 fold at the same rate of speed in and outwards in symmetry.

Might be dirt/lack of lubrication in the mechanism (summing they are geared on the BM they were on my golf) or there's damage from mirror being hit at some point or just the motor is wearing out.

My E93 mirrors are perfectly synchronised but I doubt very much if BMW are that concerned about their togetherness to provide a matched pair per car!
I suspect in your case it is a mechanical issue and one is simply slower than the other. As already suggested lubrication in the appropriate places may resolve the problem.
