I do agree I'm kind of writing it off too the dyno reading low numbers. Comparing dyno numbers isn't always apples to apples.

I have a 330xi and plan to getting a BPC tune

Should I see a difference in performace after putting more miles in the tune?

I felt like by the time I made it home (200 miles all highway) it was pulling harder than it did when I left BPC. It's hard to tell I pulled it like twice in Raleigh then just cruised home down the interstate not really pulling. But I think it did.

I did buy the rev motoring hose and an Afe Intake.

And I plan on getting the tune in two weeks. So we'll see how it goes.

Gains will be minimal unless you do intake and exhaust work. All the tunes on it there are at 330 levels, nothing to write home about. The new milvs, headers, and a custom tune will wake that car up.

I disagree. The stock tune sucks.

I would put no weight into the numbers as absolutes. The gains are in line with what your mods and tune should give, unless I'm mistaken. That's the key here.

I did just buy this intake

And this silicone hose

Can you enlighten me more about milvs?

Thanks

I know I'm getting my own thread off track but those MILVs sound like something I might need to look into. Sounds interesting to say the least.

Of course it does, so from what I've read over the years these tunes that are available only seem to bring this engine to or below 330 numbers. I would figure but now BMW would upgrade your software to this if your to provide a 3si.

Headers would be your best hp bump per dollar considering you can run these without a tune. There is a whole tread about the MILVS.

So not really worth getting an AA or BPC tune when you already have a 330?

What?

Not sure how you come to this conclusion. A good tune with a three stage manifold should get you above 330 numbers.

A tuner would start with the 330 tune and build power from there. Should be able to get plus 10-15 HP without other hardware changed

BPC is awesome, I had all my bolt-ons and without the tune the throttle response and pulls weren't nearly as nice after it. I hope they expand to the West Coast so I can get a dyno tune.

So far, all I've read is 200-225 with a 3si tune. Stock 330 numbers, I mentioned a while ago that going over all the mods that you can do to a n52 should bring it to 250whp. That would be around 300 crank, Bpc had a car that was making this on there dyno. I haven't seen any other car with there tune make this hp. There all around th 200-220 mark. 330 numbers. Unless, there are cars out there, making more, I haven't read it. If your bolting on 330 parts, how can you make more than a 330? It's minimal at best.
