thumbs up for parker @ broad stroke associate

i know some of you already had good experience with him already... just went by this morning to take care of few things...

as many of you guys know, my car went over 50k and i did lot of maintenance stuff lately. coolant/differential/brake fluids were few things that i didn't do it at the dealer mainly due to the jacked up price at the dealer. those would've been $500+ at the dealership and i was able to do it almost half the price. it's not just about how much you save... it's about how much they know about the car as well. parker used to work at the dealer as a tech and seem to know a lot about e46, e9xs. one of the lead tech @ bmw seattle who is his friend was working on his own truck when i got there so we had good conversation about hpfp, tune, etc etc. he told me he helps him out when he's doing a big job or when shop gets really busy (of course when he's off at bmw i assume)

i know many of you guys are about to pass 50k and don't really know much of good independent bmw shop around here so i just wanted to throw it out there as a reference...

oh btw, they have meet at 7pm on wednesday every week and he told me he was hoping to see more e9x crowd... there's going to be a BBQ this coming Wednesday. Anybody wanna show up? i know mookie's up for it

I have no doubt that Parker can do maintenance items and inspections well but has anyone done any major diagnostic and repair work here? What was your experience?

i would suggest you to do following, some depends on your maintenance history...

coolant fluids - every 50k / 4 yrs
differential fluids - every 50k / 4 yrs
transmission fluids - every 50k
brake fluids - every 2-3 yrs depending on how you drive
oil change - every 5k
spark plugs - every 20-30k miles, do more often if you have tune (i'm doing it every 15k~20k)

also check your steering fluids level, cabin filters, wiper blades etc etc...

Parker is great guy.

I went to Broad Stroke Association 2 weeks ago.

I got Coolant change, Spark plug change, and CDV mod.

He installed the CDV in 10 seconds after the car is lifted up.

Great Service !
