If it actually works, that's a good way to blow up your engine for sure. At least, it's cheap.

IMHO, the world would be populated with fewer morons if they weren't protected by BS laws designed to prevent them harming themselves.

Take the pool manufacturing business for example. They are inundated with high premiums for product liability insurance because there are morons out there that don't know that they shouldn't dive head first into 3 feet of water. So, we have to pay higher prices for pools to offset the cost of those premiums and the "do not dive" stickers that are required on every pool. Let the morons kill themselves for all I care. Isn't that what natural selection is all about? If they don't survive to breed, there will be less moron genes in the world and it will be a better place for the rest of us.

In fact, if that was the case, there would probably be only 3 or 4 members on this forum!

Not only is that ghetto, but it won't work on the 335i. The DME controls boost through a vacuum system so a traditonal manual or electronic boost controller won't work.

The only way to control boost with the factory wastegate setup is via the tmap sensor signal, or to bypass the entire boost control system all together.

I know that manual boost controllers don't apply to our cars, but I don't see what is so funny about the first link? Why shouldn't you be allowed to sell a MBC? I don't get it. Manual boost controllers are almost always better at holding boost solid and making a better boost curve then EBC's that are usually a pain to set up and fluctuate much more. I don't see how it is a piece of crap, even if it is a no name brand.

Edit... ok, I just saw that the auction title said it was for an e90/92.

Don't think that most people have ever done their own tuning and understand that this thing does work. as for those who think that this will blow your engine..........guess you have never heard of a boost gauge/boost monitoring system. As far as the craftsmanship of the item I can not attest, but if it is a solid item regardless of looks it will work. Only thing that needs to be changed is that title.

Hate to call people out but a lot of ignorant posts here - Manual Boost Controller are very effective and most modern CPU's can compensate for the increase in fuel needed to run them safely (evo for example) they also often build boost quicker than solenoid controlled systems

Am i going to run one on my 335? absolutely not - I'll let someone else figure out what's a safe boost threshold, that said MBCs are the meat and potatos of turbo car tuning

I suppose if you had a reliable boost gauge and you REALLY knew what you were doing (eg A RACE CAR) it might be worth it.

No, not saying that I have never heard of boost control/monitoring system. But the product CANNOT be used on our TT engines.
