it sounds very nice. very minimal drone or rasp.

i personally have electric cutouts. i have e-bay exhaust piping(painted black to prevent any possible rust) with stock muffler with cutouts rite before my resonators. quiet but beefy sounding for cruising around. cutouts for when i m out having fun and dont care about drone or rasp.
been running this setup for about 3years now.
Very good info!!

If you're changing everything I would do 3" piping all the way from the downpipes. Any exhaust shop can get you aluminum piping. As long as you have stainless downpipes, heat shouldn't be an issue at all. Even if your resonators are smaller, they can easily expand the inlet/outlet to fit the 3" piping. Make sure to get a flex section added on after the downpipes. Do it right the first time

They are weld on and I want to stay away from weld on if I can.

I don't know that 3 inch would clear my lock down kit. plus it would hang very low and I am already very low lol!

Good point. Well then go to your shop first and have them measure for you since they are doing everything custom. I don't think there would be noticeable difference in 2.5 over 3. Ideally you want to go bigger tho

When I wanted to do a custom piece, I wanted to do the hpf system before they even made theirs. Catless downpipes > ypipe > 3.5" > super quiet resonator > 3.5" > yPipe > bottle resonators > tips

I have thought of that to....I just don't trust a shop doing all the bends ECT...usually the bends suck with a shop doing them lol!

Haha I try to help everybody out when I can lol. So im glad I saved you $2800 bucks lol. The resonators regardless if they are the regular ones, quiet ones, or ultra quiet, none of them are going to take away power since its just the packing inside the resonator to quiet the rasp or drown out, so no power loss whatsoever. It makes a minor difference but it might be just what your looking for. but honestly move the resonators where the secondaries go and I think alot of your rasp issues your having.

Glad I could help

Anybody think maybe the "Ultra quite" 1141 Resonators should go in the mid pipes where the secondary's where and the "regular bottle style" 1792 should go in the mid pipes?

Beginning to wonder if I can fit to 1792 resonators side by side...any input on someone who has done this?

If you can fit the quiet ones side by side where the secondaries used to be then I'm sure you won't need to put the bottle style anywhere. That's if the quiet ones are that much better than the bottle style. I doubt they will fit side by side tho because the bottle style is already a right squeeze there.

Going tomorrow to get the bottle style resonators in side by side, do you guys put them at the exact same spot or do you stagger them? This will be on my OEM setup just to see how it sounds.

Side by side. Direct replacement from the cats. Why don't you wait til the quiet ones come in and see if they fit there? That way you won't have to touch your bottle styles.
