41F2 error code

2006 335d E92 -

My car we recently diagnosed with a faulty radiator fan when it was at a specialist having a new radiator fitted & the DPF removed. The garage quoted £600 + labour to fit a new fan! So I advised them I'd do the job myself.

I purchased a used (low mileage newish fan) & installed it into my car.
Checked the fuse & replaced the K9137 relay.
Even with coolant & engine oil temps reaching high 90s the fan has not activated.

Does anyone know the cause of the 41F2 error & how to resolve it?
