I ordered everything to do this to my tan interior... I hate tan, but I think I cannot change the seats color only, so I have to stick in repainting it tan

I love the red and black interior... Red and tan is not working.

Also I just moved back to sarasota, can you recommend any indy shops in the area for maintenance work?

Thanks
I like Swanson's on 301 and Tallavast. I used to live up on University Parkway, but now I live in Palmer Ranch; I haven't looked into a shop yet down in south Sarasota.

two more pics in 'ok' lighting.

can you paint door panels also?
Yes the door panels will be done soon. Cure time is approx 48hrs according to the DIY I read, but in reality it's really more of a 1-2weeks. You may use the seats, just use parchment paper to avoid contacting the surface for extended periods of time.

almost done, another couple days of cure time before taking off the parchment paper and then wet sanding to remove some of the shine so far so good

you could do tan interior with reddish-brown seats and door inserts ala 6series grand coupe's individual interior option.

hey bringing back an old thread but i have a question. how close is that cinnamon color compared to the actual OEM color? im asking because i just got coral red interior and i want to dye the bottom half of my dash in red also but i want it to match as close as possible. the f30's dash are dyed so why not dye my e92 right?

Wow!!!! Impressive. I've been looking for red interior for a long time. This could be another route. Thanks for sharing.

It should be pretty close, so long as the original OEM "paint" hasn't faded too much. Red is a weak dye though, so you may need multiple light layers so prevent a shinney finish, and to prevent the black from underneath from showing through to contaminate the color. You have to get all of the grease or any chemicals that are currently on the dash off, otherwise the paint will never stick properly and will peel over time.

I really want to do my M3 the same cinnamon color now that I look at these older pics
