any fbo+meth 335is DCT ?

I'm thinking of switching to 335is dct, but I've heard that it's slipping at high power, I'm planning on fbo+meth it. Any experience ? Can't seem to find any info

How different is the 335is dct from the dct in the M3. Because some of the supercharged dct M3's are putting down big power.

From what I have read it is launch. It you aren't taking to the strip, I wouldn't worry about it.

i am FBO with Meth and DCT no problems so far with slipping clutch.

But agree launching the 335is with DCT is not easy if you want to take it to the 1/4 mile track.

I participated in few lapping and airport days no issue.

it's more the torque that kills the dct. supercharged m3's don't put out as much torque as the n54 does (when tuned). i know the 335is has the same dct as the n55 135i. that transmission is slipping on vishnu's shop car.

Timing the launch on the green is the key. When releasing the break there is a slight delay before the power is put to the wheel to launch you forward.

To time this correctly, IMO, there are 3 yellow lights before the green (On most porfessional 1/4 strips). When the 3rd yellow is immediatley lit, or a second before, let go of the break, the delay will be sequential with the green.

As far as slipperage on the DCT cause of too much HP/TQ has been semi-disproved by one of the Tuners (I think by Terry not sure). It was stated that there is an adaptation period and then it becomes no more an issue.

So from rolling race you're fine no slipping at all ?
