I think Anneka may have thought our criticism a little un-fair particularly since, as I think we all realise, that if anyone is trying to do something special here, it isn't BMW but Sytner trimming the cost of the install for the benefit of the customer. Sytner aren't making the big bucks on this product, BMW are. Our ire was not aimed at you, Anneka, or Sytner, but at BMW who are doing their cynical act. It is BMW who have thought that a pretty basic install such as shown, could still sell for a high price and it surely should be useful for Sytner to give BMW some feedback on the marketing of their product, and it's perceived value for money. Gizze, thanks for the pictures again, I wish the BMW install could have been like yours; - if it had been like that, it would have looked better value for money. |

The comments on the price - well that is always going to attract comments if a supplier of the product is going to state a price in the thread (it could look like marketing / advertising to some) - you will get feedback (which is mostly negative when it comes to the price in this instance!). But in future, you may find that when you come to sell over stock of this, there is a price point that is ok - and this thread will tell you where that price point is. So, I for one appreciate someone taking the effort to add information to the forum for everybody's benefit. |

I didn't realise Dynavin did a double din nav unit for the E9X cars...
http://oemobileaudio.com/index.php?m...products_id=86 Looks pretty neat if nothing else, and for £500 it looks a bit of a bargain. |

I guess you would consider it if you don't already have nav. Not sure id replace the existing nav with that tho. They do try to keep the OEM look but I think your car would end up being worth less money when selling, it also isn't easy to install. For the money it has a lot of features and there is many bolt on things like reverse camera and you can use tomtom maps etc etc. |

Never thought I'd be dragging this thread up out of the E90post archive, however, some important news regarding this product. Prices have been reviewed and the new prices are; £355.00 RRP for the Plus unit, and £386.00 RRP for the Pro unit. (Someone was obviously reading this thread!) |

No further news on the iPhone Station unfortunately, my colleague at BMW UK does not think that it will go ahead as AG ran into some technical difficulties with it.

You're still looking at the same approximate figure, the difference here is that the premium offering (the Navigation Pro), now costs considerably less than it did before. Last edited by Anneka @ Sytner; 04-19-2011 at 04:17 AM.. |

Hi Anneka, I'm strongly considering getting this product, i think it even looks better than the factory sat nav option (my opinion so do waste your time calling me crazy). I Have a 2007 e92 and would like to know what functionality i would be losing with the pro and/or plus units. my car does not currently have the bluetooth option, if i were to have bluetooth installed would this increase functionality with the gps?

I notice that on www.bmw.com they have changed the date within the text for the iPhone Station:
"Specially developed for BMW models without a monitor, the BMW Station for Apple iPhone™ keeps the iPhone optimally in the driver’s field of vision. Perfect for using the Apple iPhone™ safely and conveniently on the move. Available for the iPhone 3G, 3GS or 4 as from summer 2011." http://www.bmw.com/com/en/owners/acc...ity/index.html Let's hope they bring it to market - is the best solution I've seen for mounting an iPhone, wonder what's stopping them bringing it to market? Could of course be component shortages after the Japanese Tsunami - read last week that Renault are withdrawing their Bluetooth options from new build for some cars becuase of the continued knock on effects of this diaster. |

now i really regret trading in my iphone 4 for the blackberry torch....this certainly looks like a better option than the navigation plus, do you know if it will be available for 07 e92, im assuming yes since should all be the same on the 3 series
