How much you figure - 330xi/16k/Prem/Idrive

Hey guys,

A friend of mine purchased a 330xi with prem/idrive and paid $46k. Too me it was a little high, but they said it was an awesome deal. The original owner showed the initial bill of sale and it was at $65k.

What do you think? Too high or did they get a deal?

All the figures are in CDN.

I think they should have gone to the US if they were willing to pay that amount.

I think that's about the pricing a dealer would have a car sell for.

For a private dealer it's probably a bit higher than I would like to see. If he went to the US, he could probably get something for much lower...but then would have to pay the import duties, etc.

Just had a quick look on Ebay Motor...yeah he could have found something similar for much cheaper in the US...but that's not a fair comparison.

After doing a few searches on Canadian sites...looks like $46k is a fair price for a well equipped 330Xi. Does it have sport package?

No sport package.

My thing is that when you buy from the dealer you'll probably get a certified BMW which extends your free maintenance period and warranty. Buy privately and you'll only continuing on their current period with a shorter warranty period.

Am I right?

Good.

But oh well for them.

I'm already talking to my stealership about getting ready to trade in my 330i for a 335d when they come next year.

330xi with only 16K kms for $46K is about 3 to 5K below current cdn market value IMHO.

its a good deal in canada, but not the u.s.

The original price seems a bit high given current pricing; I am guessing there are quite a few other options to bring the price up. A quick search on Autotrader.ca (in Ontario there are 3 low mileage 2006 330xis ranging from $44,800 to $52K) reveals that the price may not be out of line, given the mileage and equipment.

Not to highjack the ops thread, but how much would you think an 06 330xi with sport package, metallic paint, clear bra, paint protection, upgraded audio and auto would be?
