As idnan said I run meth on stock twins.

Makes a big difference and costs next to nothing. I bought 100litres of meth for £30 on eBay! That will last about 10 years!

Went on the rollers last year with a boost leak, still made 400hp/512lb ft. Now have the leak sorted but clutch slip - soon to be resolved. I'll go back on the rollers when all sorted - hoping for 450bhp+.

Rb turbos make 550bhp+ with meth - it's a big difference.

I need to get my trunk mount sorted. What tanks are people using?

They've got quite a few other ones on there, just depends where you want to put it.

The DO kits any good? I mean are the better than the BMS etc?

We're just talking tanks. Devils own uk is easier than importing a tank.

You still need the bms fsb to integrate the kit with jb4 seamlessly.

Idnan, how do you run the meth and power lines? Where is the pump installed?

For example just drop a map and thats it. i dont know anything about how to tune or change air ratio etc etc. just a guy that got his 335i and wants more power. to me i think its cobb but let me know. I am learning alot but not enough to do this and want this car to last me.

I'd look at both options discussed...I went for the jb4. This is quite an old thread so a few things have moved on! Take a look at MHD on the forum...it will give you the extra power you desire and probably work out the cheapest! Basically you flash your car (remap) it yourself using a android and cable with the MHD app. They supply different maps depending on your level of tune. It's an excellent product.

Hiya

Considering getting a JB4.

One thing that I'm sure is simple to answer.

I understand these come pre-loaded with maps, are the maps dependent on what mods you have?

So for example my car is completely standard (335i) so I should only be using the lowest map right?

Then if I fit an IC I can use a different map and so on?

Has anyone had long term use of one of these and experienced any issues directly related to it, warning lights etc?

you've pretty much got it. Although I use just stick to map 5 ( I think a number of people do) which is a progressive map. This analyses current conditions and performs to optimum levels.

Ive not had mine long but many have and experience no issues - although a small number, as you always will, have had issues.

There are alternatives also in the MHD but personally im glad I went with the JB4 and will look to do a backend flash fairly soon.
