This thread is just full of jokers!

In all seriousness OP I would recommend a few things:
6 pack of HPFP.
A set of the new updated turbos
Enough plugs to change them 2-3 times along the way, better throw in some coils also.

And if you think I'm joking consider this, I have an e90 with over 110k on it and my trunk looks like a BMW parts store and I never drive more than 100 miles round trip. These cars these days are utter pieces of shit.

Hope this helped.
Goodluck with your travels!

You will love it on the highway. I recommend an oil change and inspection prior to any nice road trip, with any vehicle, so things normally invisible won't become problems at the most inconvienent times. But mine did wonderfully, and the mileage is decent, too. Enjoy!!!

What is up with the oil changes before a road trip? I can see having it done if the service interval will lapse during the trip but other than that if its not needed don't worry about it.....makes no sense to me.

WOW, wow, wow...
I am on my 4th BMW, third lately: 2006 325i, 2006 120d SE (EU); 2011 335is.
Absolutely no issues so far except the crappy RFTs on the 325i.

My trunk looks (on all of them) like a pharmacy!

I have had 4 fuel pumps in 30k miles. I would never trust my car on a long trip. Its very sad that I feel this way but it is what it is.
