BMS PBX
Just bought a used BMS powerbox used for 200$. Planning to install it along with K&N drop in filters. Car is a 328xi AT completely stock. Just wondering, should i sell this unit now and spend 400$ for the AA tune, or just stick with the PBX for now? Kinda hesitant to spend the extra money, but if it's worth it, i will. What do you guys think?

So wait... you purchased a mod without researching, and it is only now (after you spend the money) that you come to ask for input?...

I did my research on the PBX before i bought it. Searched every review i could find and never found one bad thing about it except for the possibility of voiding the warranty (doesn't bother me too much). Wasn't really willing to spend the money on the AA tune, but if it's THAT much better then why not sell the pbx and go with AA. Just looking for some input.

It is actaully about the marginal increase in HP but more about the improved throttle response.

might as well put it in if you already have it and see if you like it. It doesn't take that long to put one in or pull it out, so you can always remove it later if you want.

AA Tune is ideal if you plan on doing bolt ons down the line. I suggest getting the tune after the mods so that it can be customized for your car with these modifications taken into account.
The PBX setup is a great system as well, you just don't have the ability to customize it for an intake or exhaust. |

Right off the bath, I would go with AA, but since you already got your PBX; just try it!
I did the same as you, but the AA tune wasnt out yet. Enjoy the PBX while you can and sell it to recover your $200.

Id go with the OE Tuning software, more HP and better throttle then both mentioned tunes
but the PBX is a great entry level tune, and I ran it for a very long time before getting tuned by OE, so its not a bad thing by any means. |

A bolt on exhaust and a fat filter with a fatter tube requires no extra tune whatsover. Please do not post false information just to make a sale. |
