Exterior MODS for '09 LCI Sedans??
hey all (especially our vendors on this forum),
what's the latest or availability of exterior mods for those of us who have (or are getting) the '09 LCI sedans?? i'm specifically inquiring about: 1. painted splitters for the new stock bumper 2. m3 style lip spoiler for the trunk (unless someone can confirm that the ones for '07/'08 sedans will fit exactly on the '09s) 3. blacked out kidneys 4. painted reflectors please let me know if you know anything!! i'm sure some of us are waiting.. THANKS |

that is only an assumption
from what i've heard, current splitters for '06-'08 e90 stock bumpers will NOT fit the new '09 bumpers. has any vendors been working on these mods and if so, when will they be available?? |

2. possibly 3. '09s have different kidneys now - very noticeable 4. '06-08 sedans don't have reflectors |

i think the e92 black kidneys willl fit on our 09 E90s.
i saw that www.europeanautosource.com states that the 09 kidneys are the same as the e92 ones. I think the m3 lip will fit the e90s. as the bootlid was not changed. The reflectors...not really sure.

I am debating whether or not to put the black grilles on my car.
Prob will do it as I think it gives the car a more "mean" look.

hahaha +1 on kidneys and reflectors. the OP has to wait a little bit until some ballsy people (like long ) try to mod some stuff and then post if it fits or not or wait for Aftermarket company's to catch up.

The M3 lip spoiler should transfer right over. The other items we have in the works and it will just be a matter of time before we have them ready

You are going to have to wait. Most of the aftermarket industry has been taking a hit with the economy so development is also slowing down. Plus, most vendors have been busy lately preparing for SEMA. Now that it is over, they can start looking at new projects. But I hate to break it to you. Most vendors have stopped developing items for the sedan...old or new. The only developments I have seen are those that also apply to E90 M3. I doubt many will be rushing out to do things for LCI sedan.
1. M3 spoiler...should fit. Although I do not know of anyone that has tried it yet. 2. Reflectors...PM longtran, I am sure he is all over them once parts are available. 3. Grill..you may have to go with the painted look for now...which may or may not chip. I do not know of anyone developing black plastic or CF versions. I do not know if E92/E93 versions fit. I think they look a little different in size, but I have not seen LCI in person yet. 4. Splitters. No way old ones will fit. The bumper is completely different. You may have to see if BMW comes out with anything as an accessory first. I really doubt anyone will come out with these any time soon. 5. I would consider doing the BMW Performance mods that they have showed in the video...so far that car looks awesome.=>>>Complete BMW Performance Video 6. You can always do coupe conversion...I have a kit for sale. Go here for info

Really, I called the BMW part's dept. and he said they weren't the same... He said it was a different part number. I made sure he was comparing with '09. So you have put e92 grills on a LCI car? Do you have any pics? If this is true, I will be ordering this week!
