I didn't believe it until today.
Got a misfire in cylinder #1, pulled the plug and look at the condition of it. They all look this way. I have almost 8K on these plugs, running mainly E50+ and aggressive tunes with FBO minus FMIC upgrade. |

You're safe running high 13 low 14 with these direct injection motors, tuning afr like a traditional injection car will result in rich conditions

I run 100% e85 in my GNX and I have noticed if I run my air/fuel a little fat the plugs do foul quicker than if I was running 93 octane... I tend to lean out my ratio and that has helped greatly. E85 seems to allow for a little more wiggle room...

Are you using instagram or is your camera just like that?
In any case, 11.5 is a bit rich for ethanol tuning, you should try to run 12.1 at least.

Later on when you pull the plugs again it will tell if you need to bump up AFR a tad more or not |

I target about 12.3-.5 up top on E50 and meth.
Agreed with others, plugs look a bit rich. Nothing overly concerning though.

That said rich = safe. You're probably just leaving 15-20HP on the table... and fouling your plugs early.

Here's my BIEHNTUNE'd AFR table. [This is for meth, it should be richer, but it's closer to what you want to run.]
