3 BMW Engines in this old bus ...

Was at an "Oldtimers" show today with some nice old flying machines and noticed that the engines on this Junkers JU 52 were made by BMW. The thing crawled into the sky, very slow take-off speed. No wonder the German paratroopers faired badly in their invasion of Crete when using these.

Nice.

The're actually BMW 132's a 27.7 liter nine cylinder engine producing in the region of 850~900hp at seal level. The original design was not by BMW though as it is actaully based on the Pratt & Whitney Hornet.
