How Long Before We Start Hitting 11.5 On The 1/4?
This is my own personal goal, I wanted the ultimate sleeper but still wanted to have a decent looking car with some status. I went out and bought the 335i sedan, a decision that I am very happy with. I love the look on an unsuspecting person face with a evo or a mustang when you pull pass them.
I see that someone has hit 12.5 already so how long do you thing its going to be before we start seeing 11.5's. |

or stock traction and street tires... you can have a million HP, but if you can't hook up you're gonna run low 12's at most... Just like all the Supras with massive turbos and stock suspension.. 600-800-1000HP all run 12's :rocks:

Thats a good point but it only makes sense that if your going to modify your car to go fast you have to mod your car to harness all the power. I personally am looking into investing into 19" light weight rims, KW2's, and LSD. I also hate the way these pads release brake dust I clean my rims every weekend because they look as though there gunmetal rims, looking to switch over to stoptech. As for the power being made on the stock turbos I think we can break into the high 11's with tuning, dp, exhaust and all the things listed above. I have been watching the post about switching the compressor wheel from 9g to a 13g. if that works out it will be cheap and give a ton of extra power.

think it might be longer than anyone thinks. fuel very well might be an issue and it's going to be awhile until there's aftermarket direct injection upgrades....11.5's is pretty fast

There's always a wet nitrous kit to handle the fuel issue. Once someone figures out how much the stock fuel system can support, let the juice take it from there. Even a 50 shot on a turbo car can yeild great results. If the N54's have forged pistons, a 150 shot in a direct port setup would be all the power you need.

Yup, there is not going to be an easy way to upgrade the high pressure fuel pump or the piezo injectors. So its looks like an auxilliary injection system will be necessary, but how it will integrate with the factory control unit without CEL issues is anybody's guess.

Tires are going to make the difference, with some 16's and some drag radial's I'll bet 11's could be possible. Probly wouldn't even need slicks to do it.

And turbo kit. No way will you hit 11 1/4 without bigger turbos.
Oh and the fastest supra in the world last I heard runs low 7's. Thats with 1200hp of course.

wow, I think you guys are expecting way too much from procede V2, downpipes and intercooler. even if the stock turbos are actually TD04-9B's and not TD03-7T's (which I've heard that someone has had them off and it is a TD03 housing), they only flow 265cfm. That's only good for 350-400hp max. Pretty close to where we're at already. It's possible it could be a bit better than that with direct injection though.

Still though, Supra probably go down in history as the best "Tuner" car ever made.. Bulletproof engine, bodystyle that's never oudated, just one hell of a machine.. why can't Toyota bring back that car, same specs, just new technology. and they price it at 45K OTD. would you still buy your 335i?

The motomachi plant closed after the 1999 models. The engines are made in mexico now and they are NOT bulletproof. That car was ahead of its time for sure.
