Question Largest Quad Tip Setup?

So I've been thinking of parting ways with my magnaflow catback for quite some time now and moving to a custom exhaust to fit quads in the back with a new diffuser. To my understanding 3.0 seems to be the average size for the tips on quads, but was wondering if there has been people that went any bigger to give it a more aggressive/filled in look (please post your pics)

Right now I'm like this (with different rims that aren't black anymore)

I 'm thinking of going to this:

But want to see what my other options are (bigger/different finishes?)

im looking to redo my tips, from a single to dual tips (like yours pictured above, not dual exhaust/quad tips). but trying to see the largest size that would fit in the stock 328i mtech bumper diffusor.

are those 3" tips in that picture of your setup?

so I'm slightly confused on your question, so you want to change your dual pipes that come on stock on the 328 to just one single tip like one side of a 335?

to my knowledge 3" is the size, but my question to others is if anyone has/can go bigger?

wow 3.5" didn't think it was possible. but would that be with a custom single output mtech diffusor?

i'm looking to keep my stock diffusor for now, i don't want it squeezed in the port and have it burn or melt the diffusor.

are those 3" tips in the picture of your car hawaiian?

i think it might require a small amount of cutting on the m-tech but it might squeeze in. I can't find a picture of the car though. Im 90% sure it was a grey e90 with either an m3 or dd hood

ah ok, because i'm hoping to not run into issues when i upgrade to a performance diffusor down the road.

so confirmation that dual 3" tips would fit just fine?

Garage List
Ask Yodaime. He had tips that were not from Cyba and were larger than 3.0. They were 3.5? 3.75?

Hmm. I've been saving for a 335 performance rear set up.

But I may keep my 328 setup and stick some fat 3.5 inchers for the twin tip.

Cool thread! I think quads would be best at no bigger than 3.5.

Sell it, no biggie, ask a muffler shop if they'll buy it from you.
