Angry MIRO style 942 poor finish!?

Is it normal for these wheels to have the painted portion (not the machined face) start flaking off after only 9 mos?? using only mild cleaner/ car wash???
its happening on all 4 wheels.
these are MIRO 942 sold by Mod Bargains.com

How long has it been since you spoke to them about this? I will say however I have Miro M6 reps, same type of wheel, machined face with gun windows that I got from **********s and never had any issues like this.

been a couple weeks.. I love the M6 reps as well..
Glad your wheels are problem free!! I'd guess that most of them ARE problem free.. wish mine were Maybe I got some from a bad batch..
but they are what they are... Guess this would be a "test" of the customer service of MB

What cleaner are you using? Most cleaners from autozone will eat the finish. I wouldbonly use sonax or soap and water.

usually a good name car wash (meguires, mothers,) they have worked well with EVERY other vehicle and wheel i have owned. its not like the cleaners sit on the wheel awhile either,
I dont believe a wheels finish should be that delicate and fragile (If it is a "soap" problem) if it is im Not using Miro anymore.. im going to try for a warranty assistance.

I wrote to Mirro and shared this thread with them, im waiting to hear something

Call Miro direct. They're the ones standing behind the quality of their product.

I've had my Miros for about the same time, different model, but holding up well. Only cleaned with P21S and softened water.

yes thats what im dooing....
the average person doesnt use those things to clean wheels...

the finish on Miro wheels is subposed to be able to take "common" cleaning chemnicals. it doesnt specify hard to find mail order only products and conditioned water.

thats not to say that there wasnt a defective finish batch made

but yes im werkin ot it thanks!

im only seeking refinishing or replacements not cash refund, luckily i bought with my credit card so that doubles the warranty if i needed it to.

Miro wheels do have a warranty from manufacturing defects and do have clear coat applied to them. However, using wheel cleaners are not typically recommended as a lot of them do have an acidic mixture that will eat away at the clear coat and eventually into the paint of the wheels. Unfortunately, no wheel manufacture will will warranty that. I always recommend all of my customers to treat the paint of their wheels the same way they would treat the paint of their own vehicles and to always ONLY use soap and water to clean them.

In our previous PM conversations, you did state that you do use simple green on your wheels which is NEVER recommended for the reasons mentioned above. Either way, I will be following up with Bryan Breese here in my customer service department to make sure he contacts you about this tomorrow!
