Service Interval Indicator Question
Hi I have a question here regarding the Service Interval Indicator. My 06 E90 Service Interval Indicator saying that my air filter is due 10/09 but at the same time it is showing like 13000 miles or so.
Now its 10/09 can I go to the dealer to get the filter replaced under warranty ? Thanks, |

Yes you can. The CBS measures a certain time and mileage for the cabin filter replacement. I know the time is 2 years, not sure how many miles, maybe 25,000? But either way you can go get it replaced now.

You should go by the date or mileage, whichever occurs first. for instance, if it was due in 100 miles and the date displayed 10/10, you would be eligible for the filter replacement now, because it is time due to your mileage. |

Basically, if the computer says it needs to be done, the dealer needs to do it.
