Power steering problem?...

I just had to get my 335i towed to the dealer because randomly the power steering took a shit. Then threw a code saying "alternator malfunction". Anyone else have a problem with their power steering before?

I was literally driving for about an hour at that point, turned a corner and it just took a shit. Totally random.

Probably belt/pulley/tensioner related... If your belt has sheared off you would loose PS and Alt charging.

Yup it was the pulley. It seized and ripped the belt apart. I just had to bring the car back because it was leaking oil like a fountain from the crankshaft. They said the seal got messed up when the pulley seized and the belt shredded. I'd be fucked if I didn't buy CPO.
