Track day

Well... Went to the track for the 2nd time in my life this weekend.

My reaction time is piss poor (.4-.5 consistently) but my car does okay in making up for it. It was 80 degrees in phoenix, I went to speedworld which is 1470 ft above sea level. Conditions werent fantastic, and to make it worse it was Buick Grand Nationals car club day. Lots of 9-11 second cars.

That being said, I was around 102 octane, and about a 90/10 meth/water mix, half a tank and no weight reduction.

Trapped a 12.44, best of four runs, at 111.14 mph. I expected a little better, but then again I need to work on my reaction time. Shifting in sport mode once the needle got to 6000 rpms made a notable difference in the quarter mile time.

What was good was my IATs. Every single run, they dropped from 120 degrees down to 75 consistently. Catless DPs are on deck, because no matter how high I set the meth adder, boost wouldn't increase much past 17.x peak. There was no significant increase in overall boost from setting the adder at 40, 45, or 50. Not sure why, but my first thought is to rid myself of having cats less than a foot from my microturbos.

Then go when its much colder than 78-80 degrees, and have only 3ish gallons of pure 109 octane. And work on my reaction time. The quest for 11s continues...

. Not bad for ur second day but some pointers for u r that ur reaction time doesn't effect ur quarter mile time at all u can take 3sec to launch if u want. Also ur trap is ur mph not ur quarter mile time. But great job and exhaust should help a lot. What was ur 60ft?
