excessive brake and wheel dust on xi?

I'm not sure if i'm the only one with this problem however, i have an 328xi, which is thoroughly cleaned every week (wheels as well), and after two days my wheels are completely dirty. Almost black. I have the style 230's. However my brother has a 335i, with the same wheels, and he can go at least a week with minimal brake and wheel dust, grime, etc. Is this an xi thing? Maybe it's because my brakes are too tight? They are also VERY sensitive, but i thought that was standard for all bmw's. Kind of getting sick of cleaning my wheels everyday aha. Anyone have any thoughts?

Garage List
It might be a difference in driving styles. For example, do you downshift as much as he does to slow the car? Also, the Xi doesn't coast as well as the RWD so it slows better naturally, and hence does not get as good gas mileage presumably.

I got a 2010 335 xi and brake dust is completely a non issue. I get almost no dust. After a whole week of use wheels still look clean.

I had an STI and those brembo pads dusted like crazy. Changed them over to Hawk HPS and dust issue was completely gone. Those pads were great too.

Pre-2009 or 2010 BMW brake dust is awful on the 335. BMWs in general. After 2009 or 2010 they switched up and now the newer ones have very minimal brake dust accumulation.

You either live with it or clean it once a week. Sonax wheel cleaner helps a lot but you still need to go in and wash/agitate it.

I have major brake dust, going to get the Akebono pads soon since I'm getting some squeaking now, hopefully that takes care of the issue!

I didn't think there would be that much of a difference, boy was I wrong. I don't think they stop as well as the OEM though.
