Dual LED Black Lines fitted..

Dual LED Black Lines fitted..

Hi guys,

I wanted to post some more advice on my saga of getting the rear lights that I wanted for my car…

So a month back I replaced the standard e90 rear light clusters with Black Lines from BMW. These are/were the normal bulb type. here's the thread:

http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=714069

I then spent a couple of weeks sampling various LED replacement bulbs from various sources (from really cheap to very expensive).. None of them were any good. They were either too ‘dull’ or didn’t give a satisfactory field of display (if that’s what you call it) and some that said they were CANBUS compliant were not.

So I ended up buying these….

I wanted dual LEDs for both indicator and brake lights (some only have the brake light). These ones are made by Depo and are of very good quality and are fantastic in terms of LED performance. Yes, I know I need to get them whilst lit up but I only had my iphone on me and the pics are crap and wouldn’t do them justice. I will post some.

I have a set of genuine black lines for sale that have been on the car for a month…

Let me know if you want the link to the new ones.. I think they are on eBay.

Final bit of advice.. Don’t waste your time with the LED bulbs… It’s cost me a few quid to find out what I probably knew in the first place.

I like the LED look but the indicator lens is too smoked for my taste. Too 90's

They look well mate and like before, I'm still torn between the two. The one's you've bought and the one's I bought...will stick the two photos together if I may...

In case the first one isn't working. I can't check on this server offshore!

The fitment on yours looks slightly better I have to say, but I get away with mine with the car being black. Still bugs me a wee bit but then you always get that with aftermarket parts I find.

Yes yes... I took pictures last night but only on my iPhone and they don't come out v well.. I am gonna take my slr out or take a video...But i am frantically trying to get my gear together for my holiday!

I've had them on a week now and done about 300 miles and I a pm v happy.

As for smoked looks.. They look lighter in the flesh..I'm ok with that as they go well with my colour..

This is the eBay no: 230732250460

£170 including postage and they were packaged v well!!

They are made by depo which is important as they are a reputable after market light manufacturer.

The lights come with electronic modules that control the led functions and stop any canbus errors.. Depo have inlcuded dual brake lights as per the BMW normal bulb set up which I think shows good design and a desire to not cut corners.. They are 'E' stamped.
