What system did you start with and what questions do you have?

My car (euro version)came with the base stereo (no amp) and I really couldn't live with that poor sound quality so I opted the factory Alpine HIFI retro kit. It turned out nice but I am still not happy with it.

Have read so many posts regarding "adding center speaking" and I am not quite sure what's the best way to do this

Thanks

Did you recode to hifi already? You could use Technic's "HiFi conversion Quadralock RCA/remote turn on cable" for the signal to the processor and you can make a harness similar to the one used in the link below to go from the amp to the speakers.

The part number for the connectors you need to make the harness are
Connector 61136901731 Pins 61138364835

You also need an amp or two.

Many thanks, bmw325i

U mentioned that I need an amp or two, does it mean that I can't keep the alpine amp which came with the alpine HIFI retro kit??? Is it difficult to make harness for signal-speakers as I have never done before?

You need to figure out which pins are the positive and negative wires for the front speakers. You can possibly use that amp although you'd probably be better off with a more powerful 4 or 6 channel amp with RCA inputs.

Musicar makes the harness although they probably won't sell it on its own. You could also use Technic's base harness although you would simplify the wiring if you did it the other way.

If you want to stick with Alpine you could use a PDX F6. You'd have 150 watts rms x 4 channels at 2 or 4 ohms which is plenty of power. A pdx v9 would also work well if you want to add a trunk sub. It does 100x4 and 500x1.
