First scuffed wheel,now scuffed leather!
After yesterdays post about the kerbed wheel,I had it fitted this morning for the bargain sum of £326 and something p including V.A.T I recommend that you do net scuff your wheels if you have style 216 m sport edition owners.I was also told that they cannot be blown in because of the type of finish on this wheel, although this is being looked into.
Anyway, after the wheel and the bumper, here is the third thing. I sat on something today that has left a long 40mmx3mm line on the seat bolster by my thigh.Tried to clean it with gliptone, zymol and vaious other cleaners and no luck.Off to local coach trimmers,he uses white spirit and rubs off some of the colour! I shout a lot,he does not seem to think it is that bad! anyway, i have ordered up a leather dye from a company on the net and hopefully this will sort it.has anyone used leather dye before? the colour is lemon dakota. Hopefully this is the third thing and I can finally enjoy this bloody car! but it is not the cars fault. Ho-Hum at leats I have 4 days off now to enjoy it. |

Very nice. The last time I saw the Vulcan fly was around 1987/88. It flew over Weston super Mare at the Flowerdown Airshow. What a noise.....
The Aston's not bad either |

As it flew over my house in 87/88 I thought the house was going to get blown in the booms from those engines. Awesome. It also banks over in turns and seriously looks like it shouldn't be flying and should just drop out of the sky.
I'd like to drive over but cannot stand the traffic issues around Swindon etc. during the show. One year we didn't get into the show until 2pm. We left home at 8am!! |

Chris, strangely, I don't think Neil is being particularly offensive on this occasion.
As long as he's talking about aircraft, & not Mr Spock, I really don't mind. Viv |

Sorry to hear about your leather and hope the dye works out
The Vulcan is undescribable, last time I saw one was Farnborough it literally took off vertically and just hung there My previous manager is the chairman of the VRT (Vulcan restoration trust) they have a Vulcan XL426 at southend airport and are trying to get a cash injection to get CAA approval so there may be upto 3 flying at some stage |

Looks a nice motor, that Aston Martin. Is it yours or someone elses? and if it's someone elses make them wash it next time

Would be nice, but I think the problems with this one and the money required have been bad enough! The one at southend is not as healthy as the one that is flying again though, but I think it can do taxi runs,I do have a Breitling special edition Vulcan watch though. I have no idea how much it would be or if it is possible, but I am going to see tomorrow how much money they would want for a passenger if it is allowed? Was lucky enough to go to NY on concorde 3 times so at least I have experience of the engines! I also need $25 million for a wally boat if anyone can help! google wally power 118 or 125 and look.
