Help me decide which wheels to get (please!)

Just upgraded my 335xi coupe with the 17 inch sport package wheels to the OEM 18s (189s). Up until last night I was adamant about keeping the RFTs, but I've changed my tune a bit and now think I'm going to get rid of them (knock on wood, I've had 1 flat in 19 years of driving -- maybe I'm due but whatever). I'm leaning towards the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus, but I'm having trouble deciding between the stock size (225/40/18 fronts & 255/35/18 rears) and going up in size to 225/45/18 in front and 255/40/18 in the back. The car is on stock suspension, and at some point next year maybe I'll add coilovers or new shocks/struts. The wheel gap doesn't bother me THAT much, but if I can fill it up a little bit right now, that would be great.

Any thoughts are appreciated. Sorry if threat title was misleading...meant tires, not wheels.

I would recommend sticking with stock sizes especially if you are thinking about coilovers sometime in the close future. I know the extra "padding" is comforting but it will be moderately close once those coils are in. I'm thinking about some KWv1s myself.

Our XI's are sensitive to wheel diameters in order to let the x-drive function appropriately. I did some research and saw that these two sizes are pretty close together so your x-drive should not encounter any issues.

Appreciate the help! The tires seem to fall within spec (in that they don't exceed the 1% rule), but I'm not sure if the potential future addition of coilovers would cause any problems. That being said, some part of my reasoning for coilovers would be to lower the car to reduce the wheel gap. If the bigger tires helps fill the gap better, I might not need the coilovers...decisions decisions!
