Single-vehicle crash on Highway 401
http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/toront...sion-1.3376012
A man has been charged with impaired driving after a single-vehicle crash on Highway 401 that left three people with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries Tuesday morning. Police say 20-year-old Wenjie Guo of Toronto is now charged with impaired driving causing bodily harm, operating a vehicle with over 80 mgs of blood alcohol content and being a G2 licence holder driving with a blood alcohol level above zero. Young drivers under the age of 22 are also not allowed to drive with any alcohol in their system. Paramedics say one woman injured in the crash was initially rushed to hospital in life-threatening condition, but her status has since been changed to serious. She was one of four people riding in the car as a passenger when it lost control and crashed into the median. She suffered serious head injuries. Police say the vehicle was traveling in the eastbound collector lanes near Leslie Street when it crashed at around 3 a.m. The car, a BMW, rolled over several times before coming to a stop. Two other people riding in the car were also taken to hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries. The fourth person in the vehicle was not hurt. Eastbound lanes were closed for a few hours after the incident, but were re-opened just before 6:30 a.m.

Yea I saw the article earlier today, thats horrible. Glad everyone in the car is ok, not sure what else to say, the fact that no one should drink and drive is proven over and over again.
The car rolled several times, atleast there's not many people on the 401 at 3am or else others may have gotten hurt as well. Hope theyre all good and learn the lesson taught, the passengers are just as responsible as the driver; allowing him to drive hammered, and getting in the car with him. Its all fun and games until something like this happens. |
