HPFP warranty here in Italy?
Does anybody know about the HPFP warranty over here in Europe/Italy? I know it's 10 yrs in the states. I'm in the service stationed here in Italy, and everytime i ask the dealers over here about the issue that they give me the WTF look? I did the search thing and i got ZERO. thanks all.

I had an issue with my car slow starting and getting a check engine light that seemed like the HPFP, drove it to the dealer where they replaced the "idle pump" not sure exactly what that is, maybe they meant fuel pump. Anyway, no charge and the problem was fixed so you should have no worry's if you're within the normal warranty period not sure after that.

I know the 10 year warranty was because of a class action lawsuit here in the states. I don't believe the same ruling applies to anyone outside the US so if you are not within the warranty, you will be paying out of pocket.

Exactly that does not apply in EU, only in the US

I hate to say it but that really sucks for the EU.

i had a slow start once with the check engine light coming on. the engine shook/rumbled quite a bit. so i turned off the car and turn it back on and it was normal...and it has been normal ever since. so is this a hpfp type of problem. and about the class action lawsuit on the hpfp, should i wait until the same problem comes back on again to have them check the hpfp or could i just have them replace it now.

They will not replace it if it is not broken so just wait until it acts up again and then take the car in to have it replaced.
