E90 / 1 Addicts Track Day

I've spoken with Ian Luff about a proposed E90/1Addicts drive event and he is keen to put together an awesome day of training / fun / activities for us.

Ian runs a great program where you WILL learn something, while being able to drive your car within your limits on a closed track. There are instructors there who will willingly ride along to give you tips / tricks etc to get the best out of your car or just take the piss out of you.

SO THIS IS THE OFFICIAL EOI THREAD!

Aim is to have 15 ~20 cars, that way they can split the groups up based on experience, car type etc.

Cost: Approx $275 / head

Location: Mauralan Driver Training Centre (www.mdtc.com.au) which is about 1hr from Sydney on the way to Canberra

Date: Either 9th of March or the 17th of March

If your interested please put your name at the end of the list with your preferred date. Once we have enough agreeing on the date then it will be a 1st in best dressed deal based on hard earned on the table.

$275 is more than I was expecting but I'm in. Hopefully more people will bring the average cost down.

$275 is the cost based on 15 people. It includes instructors, track, safety stuff etc.

More people might lower it but would mean either a more crowded session (more cars on the track at the same time) or fewer sessions...

MMmmm both dates are equally as bad. Not possible to push it to a Friday or Monday? Or any day on the week starting before (29thfeb-6mar)?

I can't do the week before, if we need to change it, make it a date later than 17th.

or Sujoy just needs to man up and rearrange his schedule

btw if we need to fill spaces I'm pretty sure I'll be able to get another 2 or 3 friends in (non-bmw drivers)

Well, the 9th is second week back at uni and first week of tutorials which I don't really want to miss. 17th is the slightly better day of two bad options.

If 9th is the first week back at uni, it's possible/likely that you won't have tutes in the first week anyway?

I have tutes on both 9th and 17th!! First week at uni is week starting 29thfeb. (the week earlier) So I will have tutes on the 9th. I'll say 17th then - means I don't miss the first tute so its not that bad.

Still have my priorities wrong though
