Are you for real bro? Man those insurers must be playing a game.

I was £584 on the E90 330i and I am £640 on the 46M. Age 28.

yea of course!

at 23 they wouldnt even insure me on an e46 M3!

im 25 with 5+ NCB and thats just how much it is!

i guess it has to do with area's sometimes too but even then the difference cant be that much!
everyone i know/speak to with similar cars and age groups pay around the same as me! to find someone my age on the e92 3.0ltr under 1k for insurance i think is pretty rare!

and if it is less than 1k id like to know more lol! cos i need to change insurers if thats the case

It is most probably down to location mate. Maybe London is just more expensive. I live in a quiet neighborhood on the edge of town. For the E90 I was with privilege. They were very good on their renewal quotes. Was with them for 4 years and they just gave the best quote from the off. However on the 46M they were a 1k more than what I pay now plus they are asking for £900 excess. Ridiculous.

Definitely location is a BIG factor, its a postcode lottery. Well not a lottery, just crime statistics.

At 39 / full ncb / 3 points I was paying £1400 a year in Manchester for the 335i with mods, now in rural Staffordshire its £500 with even more mods.

jeez 1k more and 900 excess is crazy!!!!!

i was driving an a3 2.0 Tdi Sline DSG before the BM and was paying around £600 for that! it just doubled with the BM, plus i think the whole OBD port and recent insurance guides changing everyone is just getting stung

yea must be something on those lines about the OBD thefts. Mate on a side note, On the 46M every insurer gives ridiculous quotes for excess. I am still not entirely sure why the excess's are so high. Direct line said £800 comp plus £150 voluntary plus the cost of insurance on top. Same story for Aviva.

Over on M3cutters a few of the lads have declared their cars Sorn because of insurance premiums. No an option for me mines a daily driver.

Regards.

P.s get your new wheels up man. The suspense.................. lol
