Installed led turns now hyper flash and warning

So I installed some led rear turn signal bulbs that were supposed to be error free and no hyper flash. That's not the case. My question is will installing load resistors fix the error? To my knowledge it will fix the hyper flash but will I still have the error? thanks

Resistors will probably fix it but it would be easier to just disable cold/warm rear turn signals check.

Hello -

It's been a while since I've posted (I blame college and no longer being the primary driver of the BMW!) but I'm here to offer some advice:

Even if the bulb was advertised as "error-free", your 2006 330i falls right into one of the two most temperamental model years for the E9x's bulb-check system. Hardware+software differences exist in the light control module that make it much more sensitive than the later hardware revisions that occurred on newer model years.

I would suggest coding out the problem. If you don't feel comfortable doing that, or are just uninterested in learning how to do it, check your local subforums and the coding forum and you can find someone in your area.

While adding a resistor could also solve the problem, I'm not a huge fan of that approach. That approach is merely putting a band-aid on the problem, not actually solving it. Resistors generate lots of heat, and I don't like that in closed quarters.

I had to just code them out. they sent me new ones to see if they were faulty but I just got impatient.
