Anyone get their software updated at a MD dealer yet?

I'm at school right now but am going to look into getting my software updated when I go home in March. Has anyone gotten the update at Tate, Tischer or Passport? Thanks in advance guys.

I had mine updated at Tischer. I showed them a TSB concerning rough shifting of the Steptronic transmission, which was cured by a software update. They did it without a problem.

What software update are you talking? Can you elaborate more in detail?

There is a sticky thread in the Turbo section, but there aren't that many positive results yet. It seems there is a lot of confusion still. You are better off waiting a month or two until BMW and the dealers figure out what they are doing. As always proceed with caution until you have a TSB or other official BMW literature to ensure proper software update and service.

Have you taken your car to Passport for service before? If so how was it?

I don't recommend Passport at all. I went down there to get the lag-fix, but they didn't have the machine ISTA up and running. Wasted 4 hours of travel time (w/ traffic). They even forgot to top off my fluid, like I asked.

Towson has the update, but again, if you can wait, I would. There is still some confusion about option/parameters regarding the update.

Sorry dude. I was hoping that you would wind up with something better than an Enterprise car.

First, let me apoligize again for my tech not topping off your oil. I had a talk with him after we spoke. I am sorry. I know we all have high expectations of the treatment that comes with a premium product.

We did not have ISTA/P running when you came down. We have it running now, but are still on the older version of Progman. These are circumstances beyond my control as well as Passport's.

Furthermore, you told me that you were in the area for work. So which is it?

I try my hardest to accomodate everyone. Sometimes it does not happen due to circumstances beyond my control. However, you still feel the need to trash my dealership publicly. Why?

Is there any more information from other 335i owners that had their software updated recently in the DC/VA/MD area?
