Holy crap! That looks awesome. I am definitely dropping mine in the spring. Will be interested to hear if the ride has changed at all. Thanks for the pics.

Just wondering, but have you run into trouble by lowering your xi, as in scraping things on the ground? Because i thought that BMW made the xi so high to begin with because the transmission was lower or something, but if that isn't the case then thats great news. Looks extremely nice btw

The front and rear fenders are cut differently. The rears go lower than the front.

The ride is not harsh, but the suspension travel noticeably shorter. I seems to be less harsh than my lowered E46xi. My friend verified this when he drove the car. I sold my E46 to him

I do wish the front sat lower than it ended up like the 2WD models, but it is consistent with my old E46xi as that one also did not lower the front much. Mind you the E46 has a Dinan stage one suspension set. Dinan uses Eibach springs all around and Koni shocks for rear only on the Xi models.

BMW made the Xi higher for the intended market (snow belt areas). From what I can see on my old E46 and my new E90 Xi's none of the drivetrain hangs lower than the 2WD models.
The only scraping that happens is when we get a few inches of snow at once, but it gets plowed by the street crews and packed down by other cars over time. Not a big deal for me.
