Has anything been developed to keep the shifter from pulling up off the lever easily? Don't want to be sport shifting at 100mph and have the shifter come off in my hand. What about reverting the cut shaft back to stock? Is the shaft an easily replaceable separate part?

The shifter retrofit is $300 (shown in pics) - but he is also including the entire OEM gearshift mechanism with the shifter stalk alreay pre-cut, just doesn't show it in the pics...

Well, for that kit to work properly, you need to cut down your metal stock shifter lever. Once that's done you can never go back to the factory shift knob if you wanted to.

This way, you swap out the entire shift mechanism & shifter - but you still have your unmolested shift mechanism to put back in if you trade in or turn in off lease...

How does the DCT or ///M retrofit knob stay in park or come out of park without a button on the shift knob to unlock it?
