Do you mean roll on acceleration or traffic light GP?

Because something doesn't add up, if anything off the line acceleration is usually a FWD's biggest weakness due to traction issues, which is why you hardly see any FWD hot hatch with a 0-100 time faster than 6, the ones that are, are usually AWD with fancy LCs.

In gear acceleration/roll ons, some of the hot hatches are right up there with the 'big boys', Mazada 3 MPS comes to mind, pretty tame mid 6 second for 0-100km/h but 80-130km/h is in the mid 3 seconds which is up there with the local V8 taxis .

If you beat him at traffic light GP and he has 300kw and is giving it the beans, then I can only assume that he is running some sort of cheapo china tires, with my skyline (which only has ~180rwkw) and its current China special tires, I get beaten off the line by Corollas and Pulsars everytime it rains (or if the road is remotely damp) because anything more than 15% throttle causes the back end to step out and I'm going no where.

Ps if you spent 15K on a 335 engine you would have a 700HP single on there or 600WHP twins, so that's a ridiculous exaggeration.
That's a fair call, what mods have you done to your car?

15k 700hp?

Exhaust is about 6k for an IPe and AR dump
FMIC 1200 for helix
jb4 700
gruppe m intake 2000
meth 700
lpfp 600
hpfp 1000

12,200 so far and we havent even installed RBs yet.. oh dear..

I think I saw a pig fly too. Maybe it was your mum.
Why are you getting offended and bringing my mum into this?

You think you have the fastest car here when in fact my stage 1 rocco would tear you a new vagina.

Wow you are so full of shit rofl, you have chewed up 8k in an exhaust and intake in your estimation rofl. How about a custom made system for 700 as quoted by a local shop and 120 for dual cone intake, or lets go all out and go for the 500 afe intake seeing as though we are doing this properly. My god i have never seen such trash lol. Your even quoting parts that might not even need to be replaced, and you have doubled the value of a hpfp if it is even required lol. The single turbo kit is fucking 8k rofl, but you go buy your 2k intake and 6k exhaust.

We see a lot of Golf R 4X4 MK7 in the shop for tuning,
For whats its worth a tuned MK7 manual on our Dyno is good for 220kw+ and a auto is good for 210kw+ if you were to come across a tuned MK7 and you were driving your stock 335/135 best to wave it past as it will kick your ass.

Sounds spot on, but no one here has ever made the comparison of stock 335 being able to best a tune only golf r, we all know the n54 is just as responsive to a tune as the golf, the only thing anyone's arguing about is a tune only fwd Sirocco blowing away a 335 with 15k spent on performance mods.

I guess the fact is, a 335 with a jb4 only is going to put down pretty much the same 220rwkw Its going to do better off the line in theory, peak tourqe starts lower and runs longer, extra 2 cyls and extra turbo do make a difference in how the power is delivered. The rocco is lighter but tune for tune, there would be nothing in it, quarter mile times seem to be similar with most favoring the 335...

So still yet so see how a tune only rocco is dusting up a 335 with 15k spent when the 335 should have it with jb4 only...

Unless epic troll is epic.

Spot on mate, best to take things read on a forum with a pinch of salt..

This all came about from an actual race with a forum member back when I had my stock vw rocco with just a tune from BMR autowerkes.. It transformed the car into a little torque monster! It is very quick off the mark and even kept up (maybe even pulled on) an n54 with fbo.. make what you wish out of that but it is the truth.

Whether or not the bmw had traction issues or not, on a roll in 3rd it was actually quite close and I was more than suprised!

After owning both cars, the BMW definitely has the raw power advantage and road presence over the little rocco, however in terms of driving satisfaction through the twisties and daily driving, the scirocco definitely holds its own and I would love to own another VW in my time when the chance arises!

It's just great to see some people get worked up over something they read on the internet sometimes, and I can't help myself
