Did you install the Aftermarket Radio?

Did you install the Aftermarket Radio?
Or did you buy the car with the aftermarket radio already installed.
Any programming changes once it was installed?
Get out the voltmeter.
Why are you putting the original back in?

Thanks for the response...

I had an audio shop install the aftermarket radio...they cut the speaker wires in the process, lost my pdc and chimes...i reattached everything as if going back to stock to basically do it myself with the correct harnesses...but when I attach the OEM HU it doesn't turn on...

If you have a pinout of the head unit harness.

Better recheck your wiring.
And start measuring for 12 volt power and standby.
Also check the fuses.
This may help.

You need to tap both the switched and constant power sources from the fuse panel. You won't get switched power at all from the harness, and the constant power isn't constant, it kicks out after 20 minutes of shutdown.

Amazingly very few people here seem to know about the switched 12v issue. I had the same problem when I installed my HU and nobody was able to help me either.

Use a harness don't hack the car.

Use a harness don't hack the car.

There are a lot of hack installers out there that will ruin your car.
