I can't help but notice a collection of performance options/parts in that catalog that harken back to the E46 ZHP option (i.e., CF Trim, Wheels, Short-shift, lots of Alcantara, etc.) Does this mean a ZHP option for the E9x platform is on its way?!

It would seem silly for BMW to not do something along that line again, as it proved a "great success" for the E46 gen. It would provide a stop-gap between a "stock" 335i and the M3 and add an option of exclusivity for the enthusiasts out there.

With an E9x facelift on the way, hopefully we'll see a "factory option" package containing some of these parts!

See ya,

Now everyone will be staring at the damn steering wheel display instead of paying attention to the road.....

+1. I actually think that putting information on the steering wheel is a bad idea. They should've integrated the same info into iDrive.

I bet the steering wheel will cost as much as a decent entry level gps-based lap timer. For track use, I'd rather have the latter.

Some speculate that it'll be introduced at the Chicago auto show when the 1-series tii concept car makes its US debut.

Another thing is that most of the parts have a date of 2/08 in the German catalog. Nothing stopping people from ordering and having them shipped over when they are available there...should be any day/week

No, the will not. They are designed for low- and mid-level engines, like 320 and 325
