I got a quote from them when I first got my car. They were super expensive over State Farm, so I stated with State Farm.

yea rates are insane, i have a to pay in the neighborhood of 240 bucks a month for myself (just got the 22 years of driving experience credit), and my "inexperienced wife" who didnt care about getting her drivers license until she hit 29 hehe. This is being in NC, which should be a lower rate state, when i lived in atlanta the premiums were even higher! That covers a 2011 bmw 335d, and a 2004 toyota 4 runner limited.

In that 22 years of driving, i have had 1 accident, which was 5 years ago, my wife has had none. Neither of us have a single point on our license or insurance, I tried getting competitive quotes and everyone else was much higher!

Wow! That's pretty high! I own two beemers: 2006 325xi, 2001 325Ci and 2003 Nissan Frontier and I pay about $135 p/month.

You need to shop around.

I had LM for quite awhile... and had it thru my G35 days...

when i changed to the 335i e90... my LM insurance went up at least $600 a year....

I switched to Alstate and it was $100 or $200 less then what it was with LM and G35.
(if you can understand my jibberish)

Tried them once, they could not beat my current quote at that time.
Generally hate insurance companies, eager to collect the premium money they look for every way possible to stiff you.

Depends a LOT on what annual mileage you're quoting, and your coverages... people skimp a lot on those and get really low rates.

Like they say on ESPN, "Come on Mannn!" What do you expect with a track record like yours and you're a male. High risk age with high risk driving record = high rates.

My wife and I have an 09 335xi & 07 g35, pay $640 for 6 months.

Depending on the insurance company it's sometimes worth it to pay 6 months in advance because there is a pretty significant discount vs paying month to month.

Speeding 15 over the limit gives you about 25% increase in premium, tracked for 3 years; accident too can give a major increase. So stay put for 3 years now, nothing you can do.

Wow. Some of your rates are crazy. With Geico, I only pay $120 a month for my 328 and a Tahoe. With extra coverage and I live and commute in the bay area. Both my wife and I have 1 ticket.

My insurance rates in NJ seem to go up every year instead of down. NJ is probably the most expensive state in the country.

I had a pretty good deal with Ameriprise (AMEX Insurance) until my tickets caught up with it. They screwed me up by almost doubling my premium. So, I switched to eSurance recently. The premium is still kind of high but there's less of "getting raped" feeling at least.
