First year owner question

Now that I am switching back to summer tires from winters..... Can Indy do the swap or is it better to go to the dealer? Any issues with TPMS?

Thanks

Of course you can get indy shop to do. It's not brain surgery !.

Indy shops charge around $20 - 30 cash (tires on wheels) and dealer charges around $60 + taxes (tires on wheels).

Thanks.... My colleague was saying that his Lexus could only be done at the dealership... Something about only the dealer can reprogram the TPMS ... Good to hear that we don't have the same issue

Lexus is still using yesterday's (early 2000's) tpms technology (sensors inside each wheel) whereas bmw has the sensor in the abs braking system. Therefore, changing tires over will not require re-programming.

Canadian cars use TPM (Tire Pressure Monitor based on the rotation speed of the wheels) and not TPMS (physical sensor insert), so no risk of breaking anything when swapping tires or any complex programming.

If you mean swapping wheels, then all you gotta do is reset the TPM through the Nav screen (if you have nav) or the through the steering stalk.
