What do you think of these rim/tire deals?
Style 220M Reps Staggered 18x8 & 18x9 with Hercules Ironman IMove [$930]
OR BBS CH-r Reps Squared 18x8.5 with Nexen N7000 all around [+$120] OR F10 M5 Reps Staggered same sizes and tires of the 220M Reps [+$120] Which set would you choose based on the price? All offset 35. Last edited by lkt01070; 03-21-2013 at 02:20 PM.. |

I am not familiar with the tires you are mentioning.
Is this for a summer set? I would go with some Michelin SS for the rubber. I don't think you should cheapen out on the rubber. I don't know why so many people are hating on reps, so many people on this forums owns reps. Anyhow, in regards to the styles you posted, 220M reps are nice and clean, always liked those rims. Between the BBS reps and the M5 reps, I would go with the BBS reps. the 220M and the BBS reps are completely different, it all depends on the style you want. Prices seem ok as they include rubber in your quotation. Can't go wrong, you are only talking about $120 difference. Whatever you like this most. |

The tires are quite well reviewed on tire1010: http://www.1010tires.com/Tires/Hercules/IRONMAN+iMOVE But indeed they wont be comparable to Michelin SS. I will try to get that. The reps are from Replika, a canadian based brand. They 'claim' to have done extensive testings and exceeded all standards, and a few fellow e90post members has reviewed them to be okay: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?p=10035593 I am skeptical about reps too, but my winter wheels had been old m3 reps and you guys won't believe how beaten up it is from previous owner... but so far no bends no cracks and I have gone over a few nasty potholes in Toronto myself. I think it all depends on how they were made. Even OEMs could bend and crack from mighty potholes in Toronto.. |
